Common Development Through Market Opening, Capacity Building and Full Participation: Report to the APEC Economic Leaders, 2001

ABAC's work each year culminates in a report containing recommendations targeting ways to improve the business and investment climate in the APEC region and to help ensure that all in the region enjoy the benefits of globalization. ABAC developed and refined its recommendations over the year in meetings in Scottsdale, Arizona, Moscow, and Singapore. ABAC presented its report to APEC Economic Leaders, titled "Common Development through Market Opening, Capacity Building and Full Participation," in Shanghai, 20-21 October 2001 at the ABAC Dialogue with APEC Leaders.

APEC Means Business: Building Prosperity for Our Community, 1996
The report presents ABAC's practical recommendations to aid the movement of goods, services, people and technology; an APEC Voluntary Investment Project scheme to increase cross-border investment flows; roundtables to address the region's burgeoning infrastructure needs; specific measures to assist smaller companies and a new model of economic cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region.
